I am absolutely disgusted that Cub Scout Ames Mayfield was forced out of his Broomfield den for asking racist state Senator Vicki Marble respectful and appropriate questions about critical issues like gun-related domestic violence. Shame on you for allowing this to happen, and for bringing this woman before the den in the first place. Given that there were no repercussions for another scout who asked Marble why people voted for President Obama just because he’s black, it’s clear Ames was removed because of a political agenda... read more

Appalling: Cub Scout Ames Mayfield was forced out of his Broomfield den for asking State Senator Vicki Marble respectful and appropriate questions about critical issues like gun-related domestic violence. This is not modeling good citizenship which is supposed to be a hallmark of the Scouts. You should remove the den leader who made this decision from his position and reinstate Ames’ membership in the Broomfield den immediately. As the position stands, this den parent is an example of exactly the reason we would not allow ou... read more

“Why on earth would you want someone who beats their wife to have access to a gun?” - Boys Scouts of Denver supports men to own a gun after they were charged of beating women, disgrace.

I can not believe you would toss out a young boy who asked his State Senator responsible and respectable questions! From just his questioning alone, you should realize the amazing character this boy possesses and want him to be around to be a positive influence. My son is a Cub Scout and I'm ashamed that you would silence a child like this. We should encourage them to question and evaluate the leaders in their community. You are sending a horrendous message to these young boys and should be ashamed of yourselves!

Teach your scouts the meaning of the Constitution.....that it applies to 'all'.....and not 'some'...

When I joined the scouts, we weren't suppressed when it came to asking questions, in fact; we were encouraged to ask them. Yet you guys have the audacity to remove Ames Mayfield because he asked a serious and logical question aimed at the guest speaker.(Who is a racist, let's not deny that.)
