A top flight steak house for midtown business travelers – I was first attracted by the attitude of the slogan above the large bar -- "Do good and fear no man." I keep coming back for the excellent food, fantastic service and the metropolitan ambiance with a classic feel. The hostesses are prompt and professional. The bar is great with an excellent selection. The food is top shelf -- excellent steaks and well done sides. One of my employees, herself an accomplished chef and tough critic of restaurants, noted that Del Frisco's... read more
Great Steak – Over the past 30 years, I've eatin out probably 4 times a week. 98% of the time I order a filet. That's over 5,600.00 filet's! I can tell you who has the best. DEL FRISCOS! I love the prime steakhouses. This is where you truly get a great piece of meat. I visit Malones in Lexington, Ky and this is the only steakhouse I've found that rivals the Kentucky exeprience. We went on a Tuesday night, it was a little busy, but, we had a few drinks at the bar, the service was great and the Steak was well worth the wait. O... read more
This is the perfect restaurant – ALL the food is excelllent. The wait staff is professional and quick, they will even ask you if you are in a rush and if you are they will speed things up even more, all while being professional. The wine list is unbelievable and the atmosphere is second to none. I highly reccomend this restaurant as it is my favorite in the USA.
Wow – The crab cakes and the steaks are king and queen at this always packed Midtown steakhouse. The service truly personal and exceptional. By all means take your pick from the excellent wine list, where even the lower priced bottles are exceptional. If you are visiting New York, make this place your first, last or most important dinner, the restaurant's impressive decor and the view of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall are sure to immerse you in the over the top feel of the city. Oh, the onion rings are good too... read more
Mouthwatering steaks, wonderful service. – Love the environment, the floor to ceiling windows, mahogany paneling and wrought iron railings along the staircases make this one of the most visually appealing steakhouses in the city. I like the wide selection of seafood items offered in addition to the steaks which were amazing. Don't miss the crabcake, it is really one of the best I have ever had. Truly a fantastic experience.
Simply Outstanding – Have been to Del Frisco's many times, and still have yet to have a bad experience. Food is superb, service is excellent without being snobbish...like a lot of other steakhouses in Midtown, and the restaurant is one of the best looking places in Manhattan. Came in today because they mentioned it again on the Howard Stern show. Had a great time. Also, they have the best crab cake in the country. Not cheap, but well worth it.
One of the best dining rooms in the city – The best thing about this place is the atmosphere - it is a great room. Very high ceilings, huge windows looking out onto the city, great lighting and two bars. The wine list is expansive - you should definitely be able to find something in there you like. Only knock on the wine list is that there are no reasonably priced French Bordeauxs and a very small California Merlot selection. From the sides to the steaks the food is excellent. The only knock on the food is that they don't ha... read more
Best steak in the city – As a former New Yorker now living in Texas, finding Del's in Midtown was a blessing, particularly as such old favorites, like Cite, have gone down so much and/or closed recently. We had excellent service, eating at the bar before the theater and a very lively conversation with our server. We had a great wine selection, the steak was the best I have ever had in Manhattan and the dinner salad and lemon cake were memorable. The space is very dramatic and we had no music interrupting us during our visit.... read more
Souless – This giant hollow cavern, an abyssmal eatery brings shame and tears to a city already spoiled and vandalized by corporate nonsense. The food here is safe, is simple, is decent. Nothing about the place, the people, the managers, the decor and design is unique. Absolutely nothing on the menu or anything here is amazing or a "must have" or even has any substain, character, or life infused into it. Even the music incessantly chanted in the background screams with banality. The idea behind this establishment seems to no... read more
