Looks Like a Steakhouse War – This is so funny! I read the reviews here encouraging customers to go to AJ Maxwell's, and then went to citysearch for DelFriscos, and saw the same. OK, you got my attention, I'm in on this "steakhouse war". I'll check out both restaurants, being a steak lover I will eat at both of the local restaurants and write my review on which is the best. Stay tuned for more of the dish on is the better choice. I'LL BE BACK.
What a waste of my Money! – What a disappointment!! From the minute I walked through the doors, I had to force my way in through the crowd and there was no-one there to greet me. I felt uncomfortable and unwanted. After searching out the rude hostess, I was finally seated, with 2 of my friends in tow. You would thing they would try to get the dinner started on a positive note. I sat there at my table for at least half an hour before I got any attention. Our server seemed pre-occupued, monotoned and downright unprofessional. ... read more
Steak Lover's Delight – I went here for the first time last week with some family and a special guest. At first I wasn't sure what the hype was all about especially when the crowd was practically out the door and it sounded like I was on the floor of the stock exchange. With all these people I couldn't imagine the food quality could be so high. We finally sat down at our table and we ordered the double porterhouse and double eagle steak along with sides of oysters, crabcakes, shrimp cocktails, spinach, mash potatoes, and of ... read more
Really bad lunch – I went for a celebration with coworkers and we had an absolutely terrible lunch experience. From the minute we walked in, where people were backed-up through the door despite reservations, to the minute we sat down and our waitress came to the table it was a continuous downward spiral. Our server was overly casual and once she realized that she had used the wrong approach to the table, she quickly avoided us for the rest of the meal. I thought the bread was terrible, especially given the expectation that I... read more
amazing night – my boyfriend took me here last night for my birthday dinner, and it was amazing. Even the bread you start with is absolutely delicious. I got the 8-oz filet, which was cooked perfectly...and the spinach supreme and potatoes au gratin on the side. Both were superb. The ONLY thing that wasn't perfect was the Caesar salad...it was pretty average. The atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff can't be beat...Makes me wonder why we've been going to Smith and Wollensky all these years!
Best Night Ever – My friends and I went here for the first time a few days ago, and I STILL can't get over the experience! We wanted to go somewhere to get dressed up and have a girls' night out, and this was a great choice (suggested by my friend Julie). To start off with, the food was incredible from the bread they put on every table (I could eat that all day!) to the steaks right down to the chocolate dessert. But what impressed me the most was the service. It was so fast and so friendly. Our waiter spoke to us like we ha... read more
By far, the best Steakhouse in NYC – This has to be the best steakhouse I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. Not only is the food exceptional, but the service and decor is also one of the finest I've experience. Everyone at the restaurant were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make sure out dining experience would be enjoyable. The appetizer, the steaks, the wine list and the deserts were perfect. Thank you Del Frisco's for making that night the best we've every experience.
A REAL Upscale Treat – Being from the great state of Texas I am certainly no stranger to dining on fine beef. Let me tell you that Del Frisco's is certainly at the very top of my list, and perhaps the best filet that has ever graced my taste buds. The same owners as Sullivan's (one of my favorites in Houston, TX), Del Frisco's tops even the legendary Chicago Morton's. Aside from the phenomenal food, the atmosphere radiates the style and class you expect while fine dining in The New York City! Alive and Vibrant, it is not ove... read more
