The Emergency Care Center at Decatur Memorial Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accepts and treats patients of all ages and diagnoses. The nurses and doctors all receive specialized training for patients who present special challenges, such as pediatric and trauma patients.

Dr. Collins is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. In one visit he helped isolate my headache pain and put me on a regiment that works! It's been close to a year now and very few headaches! I am so happy we have this caliber of talented physicians in our town!
Huge shout out to Katie on the 5th floor. Not sure of her last name, but she was the nicest nurse my dad had after his bypass surgery in early August. Very considerate of him and our family and did her best to answer any questions we had. Definitely the best nurse he had in CVU.
My Fiance` was brought into your hospital around 0030-0100 hours this morning Illinois time after having suffered 2 severe seizures... And was unresponsive... her father notified me and I was able to speak over Skype to her... Ty for this... I'm proud to say that I'm a new hire at DMH! My very first day of orientation I locked my keys in my car. If that wasn't bad enough, I live two hours away from Decatur. I called security and talked to Chris. Although Chris couldn't unlock my car he pointed me in the direction of someone who could! Thank you, Chris!
