We came to Deanie’s on our last night in New Orleans. Therefore, we had tried a lot of different seafood while we were down there before coming to Deanie’s. We waited two hours before being seated. We sat and ordered an appetizer which was good. But for dinner, my fiancé ordered the trio of catfish, fried oysters, and fried shrimp. The catfish had NO flavor. We queued up for a very long time expecting top service & great food. The food was very disappointing: . So bad that a member of our group could not eat her meal. She sent it back but was still forced to pay for it by your rude, arrogant and obnoxious Manager . He has no customer service skills but just likes to threaten & intimidate people by chasing them out into the street demanding a full 20% gratuity for service that was not given. Food wasn't very good and if u have more than 1 ticket at your table that charge you 20% for splitting your bill.
Soo good! Great atmosphere and the BBQ shrimp is amazing!
Love this place...friendly and down home with some of the best fried seafood and fresh Gulf oysters-on-the-half-shell I've ever had. A MUST every time I visit NOLA!
As fabulous, as always!!! We have made Deanie’s a regular stop whenever we are in NOLA. Their BBQ Shrimp are fantastic!

If there was an option to rate 0 stars, I would. My experience was bad from start to finish. Our sever was very aggressive when greeting us. We had a large party and I understand our food would take time. We ordered our appetizers, entrees and waited patiently. Ordered a combo platter (shrimp, catfish, and oysters) THE FOOD WAS SEVERELY UNDER-SEASONED! I went to deanies for takeout today and was very displeased with the portion size I received for the price. I purchased a broiled mate platter and coleslaw when I opened the box it had 8 shrimp and 8 oysters that had shriveled up to nothing for 20 dollars. My mom ordered the same meal and received 7 shrimp and 8 oysters that were no larger than the size of a nickel.
