I visited Deanie’s Seafood, Iberville Street, yesterday. Our waiter, Davey, was great! We ordered shrimp poboys and I had the onion rings. The food was absolutely delicious! I loved the potatoes that were served as an appetizer. I want to come back soon!
Way over priced and super greasy. Definite tourist trap. There is much better seafood in the quarter than what this place offers and the hostess was stand-off ish like she was having a bad day or something. Our bartender/server was super friendly and the drinks were good but I would not recommend this place for food. If I had to sum up this place in one phrase it would be: Over priced Long John Silvers with booze.
I typically visit this Resturant a minimum of 2-3 time whenever I visit New Orleans. I even convinced the group I was with this weekend for the Essence Festival, a festival in celebration of African-American women and Music, to return to this resturant today 7/8/18 , after we just patronized this Resturant Friday 7/6/18. When we received our checks, our waitress presented our checks to us in a check portfolio decorated with the image attached below....Continue Reading
Great food and service. A must try if you’re in the area. The location on Iberville is very busy..generally a wait but well worth it.
Best Gumbo! Tried 5 different ones, Deanie’s wins!
I will NEVER eat at Deanie's AGAIN... the Police were called on myself (Chef, restaurant owner) and 2 of my friends because we disputed our food and service... We asked for a manager and while waiting to speak to that manager the kitchen manage Chandra stepped out of the kitchen approached our table with fumes coming out of her head she approached the situation with an attitude before knowing what the complaints were. She was rude, nasty and dismissive. Once she begun arguing with us I had, had enough at this point she proce... read more
Having frequently eaten at Deanie’s for over 25 years tonight I can absolutely say I would never eat there again. My daughter ordered a poboy and not only was it cold but the bread was hard as a brick. It broke a bracket on her braces. When I asked to speak to a manager she came to the table with the worst attitude- her name was Candace Chifici and in my opinion she should not be a manager. She has zero customer service skills. Not only did she not fix the unedible food but she took the sandwich to the back and took $4.00 of... read more
Love it food is great and you get a lot for your money
Brian loved his fried shrimp po-boy and I was able to have fried onion rings plus fried clams, shrimp and catfish as the batter was gluten free. Servers were friendly and helpful at the Magazine Street location.
