As soon as he found out this was a work related injury he said “if you are suing I can’t be a part of that” which is utterly ignorant there is no “suing” involved in my case. From that moment on he talked over me, was very dismissive, did less tests than the local eye doctor down the street, and concluded that perhaps my double vision is because I am getting old (33 years) and not from getting whacked across the eye with a metal object …… which was when the issue started!!! He also refused to acknowledge blunt force trauma t... read more

Dr. Cestari recently performed a Strabismus surgery, and the outcome was far better than I'd imagined. I am a complex case, having a detached retina that required four surgeries and an miraculous but still imperfect outcome given the damage. One significant drawback from those procedures was double-vision that skewed toward different plains of vision. Dr. Cestari and his excellent team corrected the multi-plain challenge and brought the double-vision down to barely noticeable levels, which is extraordinary--I'm using both ey... read more

Dr. Cestari resolved the double vision I’d been living with for the past 2 years. I’m still amazed that I walked out of the hospital after the procedure with perfect vision! No more eye patches. I can’t thank him enough!!

I have been working with Dr. Cestari for over a year for double vision. We tried the conservative route for a year, which was my decision, and opted for prisms to start. Then after a year of using the glasses, we elected to try the corrective surgery. Dr. Cestari and his team were thoughtful and detailed on the procedure as well as the recovery. He walked me through the whole procedure, prior to the operation date to ensure I was comfortable and understood everything. The day of the procedure as well as the recovery went exa... read more

I have had double vision due to MS for over 15 years. Dr. Cestari told me how my right eye was 0.5mm lower than my left. He gave me the choice of prisms (which I rejected since I am a contact lens wearer) or surgery. I went for the surgery and am happy to report I can now watch TV without having to adjust my direction of gaze often. I can now read a book more easily. Thank you Dr. Cestari!

I recently had Dr. Dean Cestari perform strabismus surgery after a severe case of thyroid eye disease causing double vision and several other issues since 2014. I am extremely pleased and amazed with the results and the range of single vision he was able to get back after performing the surgery. With surgeons like Dr. Cestari, I am not surprised that the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary rates among the best in the business. Thanks Dr. Cestari for an outstanding result!
