I had strabismus surgery in early August and Dr. Dean Cestari and his staff were beyond wonderful. I felt like a whole person, not just a patient, from my first consultation through the surgery. Before the procedure, I was incredibly nervous and uncertain about whether to move forward and he patiently answered my MANY questions with apparent care and compassion. Despite a terrible experience with anesthesia about 20 years ago, this surgery was a great experience. I had no nausea or dizziness coming out of the operation and t... read more

Dr. Cestari successfully performed surgery on my eyes to correct my diplopia and strabismus. He is very knowledgeable and was able to explain to me in lay terms the what and why of my symptoms. He is a very caring, considerate practitioner who is very determined to achieve a positive outcome. I just can’t say thank-you often enough! I would send any member of family to him knowing they would be in the best hands possible. I am so grateful!

As soon as he found out this was a work related injury he said “if you are suing I can’t be a part of that” which is utterly ignorant there is no “suing” involved in my case. From that moment on he talked over me, was very dismissive, did less tests than the local eye doctor down the street, and concluded that perhaps my double vision is because I am getting old (33 years) and not from getting whacked across the eye with a metal object …… which was when the issue started!!! He also refused to acknowledge blunt force trauma t... read more

Dr. Cestari recently performed a Strabismus surgery, and the outcome was far better than I'd imagined. I am a complex case, having a detached retina that required four surgeries and an miraculous but still imperfect outcome given the damage. One significant drawback from those procedures was double-vision that skewed toward different plains of vision. Dr. Cestari and his excellent team corrected the multi-plain challenge and brought the double-vision down to barely noticeable levels, which is extraordinary--I'm using both ey... read more
