I was referred to Dr Memon for heart problems I am having. Worst. Experience. Of. My. Life. Never in my life have I ever been treated so poorly by a doctor!! I waited for over 2 hours in her office before being called back. Clearly the waiting room was over booked. Once I was called back there was no communication between the nurse and the doctor. I was being treated for extremely bad renal failure, when I was taken by ambulance there, after several men found my car and me in a ditch, with extreme things going on with me. I was fighting them all as hard as I could, and I can fight very hard. It took them a long time to get me on a backboard. They had to give me a shot of Demerol. I am not happy at all with this hospital. A few years ago somehow this place missed a 7 1/2 LB cyst in my spleen and I almost died because of it. Uab found in within minutes of being there and had me in emergency surgery to have the cyst plus my spleen removed! I decided to give DCH another try because I’ve been very sick the last couple of weeks and an ambulance had to pick me up Monday morning with complications breathing, stomach hurting, chest pains and just weak. the entire problem I see is with Administration. such ashame. if the higherups dont do there jobs it all trickles dont all the way to maintenance and house keeping. somebody needs to get for real serious and do some serious fund raising. I mean there is a huge water spot above my bed 5 min job replacing one tile and I'm sure there are cases of these tiles located on premises. You hv a lack of staff that is overwhelmed because they are short staffed so they work twice as hard. Dirty wash rags in the shower and gowns in floor.... read more

I could hardly notice any attendants while in my exam room. The bed linen had blood on the sheets and also the place used by staff to set their equipment on. It was hard to get anyone's attention when I wanted to talk to someone. The wait time to get any attention was more than I would expect. A lot of traffic in the hallways outside my exam room, but no one to check in on me, like if I needed anything, which I did. I did not feel like a valued patient.
