Dr. Kaufman did a total knee replacement on me on May 10th. From our initial interview I knew by his manner - professional but approachable - that I was in "good hands". Dr. Kaufman had already viewed my ex-rays but he asked about my years of dealing with an increasingly failing knee, manipulated the leg, answered directly and completely my numerous questions. I can't say enough about Dr. Kaufman! He is the most warm and present surgeon i have ever encountered ! he explained everything clearly and always answered all questions. He inspired confidence and faith that i was in good hands during both my knees being replaced and when it was tough getting through the early stages he was very supportive!
I have already recommended Dr. Kaufman to anyone needing knee replacement surgery. He was professional, very accomplished as an orthopedic surgeon, empathetic and helpful pre and post surgery for me.
Dr. Kaufman was very informative, listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, and let me know what to expect, he was personable and friendly. I highly recommend him and feel very fortunate that he was my doctor.

He is very thorough with the office visit, explaining everything in detail. Scheduled my husbands surgery for February 8, 2023, but got moved up a month early to January 18,2023. Surgery went well and my husband was up and walking after surgery and was released Togo home that same day. I would recommend Dr. Kaufman to anyone that ask about hip replacement.
Dr Kaufman is a highly skilled no nonsense surgeon. He has a unassuming but direct demeanor His program is very clear to follow and his team is very proficient. Maui Memorial surgery staff is great too! Im a happy new knee girl! Thanks Dr Kaufman and thank you Kaiser and our Maui hard workers.
