On October 13, 2020, Dr. David Kaufman performed a right anterior hip replacement for me. I came to Dr. Kaufman after over a year of troubling discomfort & pain. Dr. Kaufman performed an anterior right hip replacement surgery on me two months ago. The procedure went extremely well and I was walking without a walker or cane after only one week. Dr. Kaufman and his PA Karla were very helpful and courteous in all pre and post op surgery appointments and always took the extra time needed to thoroughly answer any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman, his team and the Northwestern/Lake Forest Hospital to anyone considering hip replacement surgery!
Dr. Kaufman performed anterior left hip replacement surgery 8 weeks ago. The surgery went extremely well. I was walking without a walker or cane after two weeks. From day 1 after the surgery I was able to walk without pain. Dr. Kaufman and his team were extremely helpful in pre and post surgery appointments taking the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. He has great "bedside" presence. If I could rate him 6 stars on a scale of 5, I would.
Knee replacement surgery is never easy which makes choosing your surgeon very important. Dr. Kaufman was most certainly the right choice for me. He addressed every concern I brought to his attention and made everything go smoothly. He explained every step to me so that I understood and was prepared for everything that was about to happen. I cannot say enough nor be more pleased with the excellent care I received from Dr. Kaufman. His team and he are extremely professional and caring. I felt totally at ease with putting my care in his hands. I had a hip replacement on 8/4/20 and it went without a hitch. I was walking that same day! My experience with Dr. Kaufman was wonderful. He's very professional during the entire process - on time for appointments, explains everything thoroughly, and answers any questions. The surgery went better than expected, and his post-op bedside manners are exceptional. The recovery and rehab went well, and the outcome of the procedure has resulted just as I had hoped for. Highly recommended if needed.
Dr. Kaufman did a total left knee replacement for me one year ago. I could not be happier with the surgery. I feel great and the knee truly feels like my own. i am finally able to move freely and do so much more. Dr. Kaufman is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him. I have to add that the care at the hospital is outstanding as well.
