I am 7 weeks out from hip replacement surgery and couldn't be happier with my results. I returned to work a very physical job where I am on my feet 8 hours a day and spend a large portion of my day lifting. I am so pleased with my surgery, Dr. Kaufman is a great surgeon and his bed side manner is outstanding. He listened to my concerns and I never felt rushed during appointments or my short hospital stay. My level of pain was minimal. I am very thankful and recommend Dr. Kaufman.

I saw Dr. Kaufman for a knee injury that lead to a knee replacement. He and his staff were always professional and courteous. He explained my treatment options, risks and rewards that came with each, and most importantly, listened to my wants and needs to achieve a quality of life I wanted. They effectively managed an insurance roadblock and maintained everything on schedule. The office always supported my needs and got back to me within the business day. I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman

Dr. Kaufman replaced my left knee in March 2018. It was a complicated case – a deformed leg with a metal rod and pins. Today my leg is straight. I have full range of motion, and no pain. I can walk without aids. I am even walking up and down stairs - something I haven't done in more than 5 years. This outstanding outcome is due to Dr. Kaufman's skill and expertise. He is patient, professional, compassionate. I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman to anyone considering a knee replacement.

Competent, professional, friendly, will recommend to all family and friends. I had two knee replacement surgeries at other facilities by other surgeons. When one of the "new" knees went bad after only five years I switched facilities and surgeons to Dr. Kaufman at Lake Forest Hospital. He replaced the bad knee with far less post surgery pain, much faster recovery and much better knee long-term function after surgery than I had experienced with the previous two knee replacements done elsewhere.

Dr. Kaufman replaced my right hip in February, and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Not only was the recovery faster than I expected, but his willingness to listen, answer questions, and be available before and after the surgery was exceptional. His warm and caring personality was a bonus. An excellent surgeon - I highly recommend him.
