Complete Hip Replacement- Dr. Kaufman is patient, polite and informative. More than qualified to do his job and an attribute to the Kaiser Healthcare system here on this small island in the middle of the Pacific we call home, Maui.
Dr. Kaufman was thorough and informative. Great personality and an incredible surgeon. He answered all my questions and my recovery was pain free and easy. What makes him great is that he likes what he does and he does it well.
I was a true challenge after falling more than 15 years ago, needing a knee replacement. I understood what was said and or explained, and he answered ALL questions. Dr. Kaufman's office staff, knee replacement class nurses, and of course his surgical team were beyond excellent. I have never undergone this type of surgery; but I can easily tell you that if I needed surgery for the other leg, or one or both hips...I would be honored to have Dr. Kauffman on my side.
I got 2 new knees. I am no longer in pain. I look forward to dancing again.
My experience with Dr. Kaufman throughout the process of preparing for and obtaining replacement surgery was excellent. He has a friendly, gracious manner and he listened carefully to my concerns, and fully answered my questions. Dr. Kaufman did knee replacement surgery first on the left and 5 month later on the right knee.The result is phenomenal. Yes, the healing process is difficult and at times painful, but I followed his advice by the letter and I am 3 weeks later again able to walk without a cane.What is so outstanding for me was how Dr. Kaufman combined professionality with kindness and really caring for his patient.

I had a total knee replacement with Dr. Kaufman as my surgeon. I could not be happier with the results. He is a true professional who exudes confidence and knowledge. From the beginning he communicated all pertinent information. I felt fully informed and there were no surprises. His surgical skills are superior. My scar attests to his precise surgical intrusion. After three weeks I am almost completely healed and haven't needed a walker since the first day. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kaufman!
