Very informative and treated with the utmost respect. Doctor Kaufman and the staff at Maui Memorial Hospital were great.
Dr. Kaufman is a very skilled and proficient surgeon. Wonderful bedside manner, and very informative and helpful. I recommend his services to anyone who has hip problems. I went from being almost totally crippled to walking well in a short manner of months. After two total hip replacements, no pain! I have absolute confidence in Dr. Kaufman for a supreme job, well done.
Dr kaufman was always informative and confident in his abilities to get the procedure done right the first time which made me feel good knowing he knew this was what I needed and I'll be the first to tell you he was right. I've gotten my mobility back and no more pain. My pain level was at 10 before surgery and now it's at zero I just wish I had done this sooner. Thank you kaiser and dr kaufman for giving me my life back I always thought that's how the rest of my life was going to be always in pain but I was so wrong
Very caring and gave good explication of what to expect. He visited me after the surgery while I was under recovery. He understood my situation as someone living alone. I had a friend who has had knee replacements by Dr. Kaufman let me stay at her house for the week after surgery. I was walking without the need of a walker by then and drove myself home. The followup gave me valuable information and he is very easy to talk to.
From the moment I walked into Maui Memorial to have my Total right knee replaced to the time I left, there was not a moment I felt like was forgot about. The staff made me feel very comfortable at all times. Just before it was time to go in for surgery, Dr. Kaufman came to check on me and to see how I was doing, I told him, ' I'm ready, let's go' I did ask him if he played music in the operating room and he said yes, do you have a request? I’ve had lifelong hip issues and have been fortunate to receive care in Seattle as a kid for my first surgeries. After decades of wear and tear, it was time for replacements. Dr. Kaufman was respectful and clear in discussing solutions prior to surgery, but when it came time to replace, we were well-informed and prepared. Very easy to talk to
Dr. Kaufman is a highly qualified doctor and a very personable man. I am very pleased with the outcome of my hip surgeries. I did my right hip first and needed to do my left. After the success of the first surgery I had no hesitation in choosing Dr. Kaufman to do my next one.
