Nice friendly pub. We popped in for some food as we were staying nearby. We had a drink whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive. I had a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord, this was well kept and went down very well. Our food took a while to arrive but I don't mind waiting as long as the food is worth the wait. Fortunately it was and we all enjoyed our meals. Would definitely return if we are back in the area.
I had the fish and chips which was very good. Most notable, however, were the staff. They were brilliant.
We were impressed. The service was a tiny bit slower than expected but not an issue. The bar staff were friendly and numerous. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We really enjoy d our drinks and meals and the chips were exceptional. Brilliant. Was not as busy as pub over the canal but we were very happy with the options and service and food we had.
Food was terrible (myself and family ill after) and drinks are quite expensive. Weird vibe in there also.
Nice pub, good beer and good value food. Lovely staff. They could make more of their beer garden.
