I have emails and texts to back up everything I state here. I should have known when the loan officer started off like a used car salesman telling me if I went with him today he would give me a considerably lower rate than anyone else had originally quoted, including himself. I have almost perfect credit (over 800) and no debt at all. Nothing seemed to be progressing after the first week even though I had submitted everything they asked for on the same day each time they asked for it. When I asked for a status update, I was ... read more

2 words.... Stay away. We had an absolutely horrible experience. Some errors include calculating monthly payments with incorrect tax amounts, incorrect closing costs, taking 10+ months to close, lower rate expiring now having to lock in again at a higher interest rate. Get to closing and they calculated the incorrect payoff amount by over $16,000.... Please do yourself a huge favor and find some other company.

Currently dealing with American Eagle, Staurt is our loan officer, is beating around the bush; so-to-speak, Won't tell us what items we need to work on. I have asked 3 different times. They used a company called *********, to pull my hubby's credit report; then tell us, the biggest blockage is our state tax lien's. There is no law that says, you can't get a mortgage or a va loan, if you have STATE TAX LIENS. We have 3, we just paid one off, the other 2 are in a repayment plan, with a local attorney, based out of reynoldsburg... read more

I own multiple properties and have refinanced two of them previously. This time i went through Costco since as we all know they stand behind customer. Well was i up for surprise when dealing with this guys!? After they locked my rate , i paid for appraisal i was very excited to have things going. Once they found out i have very small linen on the house , they completely dropped my case. They kept telling me documents were sent to the linen company for subordination, kept dodging my calls and emails for status. After i was to... read more

Absolutely horrible experience with Cross Country Mortgage. I wish I could get a do-over and start again with a reputable lender. Don't make the same mistake that I did. They are super slow. Things they promised will be done in 3 weeks took nearly 4 months. They are so slow processing the refi that you will be sending them the same documents over and over for a 3 months period because they become "old" so you pull the new ones and then another set becomes "old" . The company is run like a circus. Even setting up an autopay i... read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible!! Did I mention Horrible?? Anthony ****is a horrible, deceitful person. He couldn't close a loan after repeatedly dragging it out and delaying the closing several times. Unfortunately it involved 2 other home sales and 2 other families that fell through because of his mismanagement. He is crooked and untrustworthy. After complaining to Cross Country HR, they backed him up saying I couldn't get a loan. Although I purchased a home 4 months later, after their debacle through Angel Oak. Never got back ... read more

I recently refinanced my home and Cross Country Mortgage and set up auto pay. The first month, I had to make the payment manually even though I had set up auto pay. The next month, I waited for two business days after my auto payment but the money wasn't pulled out of my account. Nervous that I would be penalised, I made a manual payment. Then, FIVE DAYS after the auto payment date, and after I had already manually paid, another payment was pulled out. This over drew my account. I called and was told that in order to get my ... read more

This company is awful. They will talk with you get all the information, and they do not do as they say. Even if you have accounts paid off in full but has not updated on credit bureaus and you have form from lender showing it is paid in full the don’t not remove it from DTR they are a pure rip off especially in zanesville Ohio
