Oldest Shop in Town It has been around forever. It is situated along the busiest bike path in all of Colorado Springs. Extensive collection. Lots of old tools for working on outdated bikes (the new shops dont have this.) I am riding an old ten sppen and have to fix allot of old parts that break, many of which are no longer available, and I can count on them to have the parts, be able to fix it, or know someone who can help me out.
Since I moved to Colorado Springs 35 years ago I always proclaimed Criterium to be the BEST bicycle shop., and it was. The early days of Criterium use to cater to all types of cyclists, but now I am sad to say this is no longer the case. With new ownership the only interest is that of ( making the big bucks ) selling over priced road, mountain, and electric bikes. RecommendedGreat group of people here! The customer service is fantastic. there is always someone available to help, either from the sales group or from the mechanic shop. Whatever reason you're visiting, you won't be disappointed. or, if you just want to look around a bit, they've got a great selection of bikes and components.
I am throughly impressed with the service I received today. I busted my derailleur and they fixed it within two hours. Will most definitely be coming back here for my mountain biking needs!
I’ve always appreciated this shop—especially when I lived in Colorado Springs and relied on their service and product offering to keep me on the roads and trails. After moving, it had been a few years since I shopped here....But recently traveled back to the Springs to pick up a trainer, adapter kit, and some other essentials that I haven’t been able to find this year. Great selection and service and a highly knowledgeable staff.
Called them to schedule an appointment to get my bikes fixed and the guy was very short and not friendly saying I had to fill out their on-line form before they will do anything. So I filled it out to schedule a drop off time that after-noon. The web page says someone will contact you shortly (have to give a cell # to receive texts). Almost 6 hours later I get a text (after they are closed) saying I can drop off my bikes at anytime the same day I scheduled for and tell them I filled out the form. Obviously I couldn't do that... read more
