Great place for last minute gifts Kip and the others are awesome. He took care of a special birthday arrangement with 1 hour notice. They are creative and responsive and always have been!!
Flowers aren't your friends at Crimson Ridge I have to say that I agree with all of the bad reviews; when I was looking for lillies for my fall wedding, my maid of honor & I stopped into Crimson Ridge to price their selection (I was willing to pay over $800 in fresh flowers alone)...whoever the salesperson was told me very rudely "I don't know what kind of little event you girls are planning, but lillies are not in season in November". I was very disappointed in the treatment I received. I left on the spot & will never retur... read more
What part of GERBER DAISY don't you understand??? I was raised in very successful family business. It was successful because we gave the customer what they asked for. Yesterday I ordered flowers for my 15 year old daughter. I asked for a 50.00 GERBER daisy arrangement. I wanted ALL the "fun" bright colors of the gerbs I saw in there cooler. When it arrived at my door it contained 4 pink gerber daisies, some pink mini carnations, and a few mini pink roses. I called and complained and they said they would come and get it and b... read more
Don't Waste Your Time/ Money If you want to be treated like dog poo on the bottom of a shoe, then trot on in to Crimson Ridge! You will have plenty to think about when you leave. The few visits that I have made have been horrible.I purchased a sale item on my second trip-a bracelet-and I was basically rushed out as if I was second class for buying from the sales table. The staff is either terribly rude or haunting you like hyenas or both. The owner is an A+ A**H**** and he acts that way wherever he goes in Rockford-not just at w... read more
Best Place in Rockford for unique gifts I cant believe some of these reviews! I have shopped at Crimson Ridge many times over the years. I have ALWAYS been treated w/respect from the staff. I can always depend on finding a unique gift or flowers here. I live out of town and have purchased flowers several times on special occasions and holidays. I have them delivered to my wife's office and they have always been very well done and very unique. In fact I logged on today to get the phone number to buy flowers for V day and saw ... read more
my own experience I have been associated with crimson ridge for nearly 10 years. I worked there full time for several years before moving away. It can be a harsh place to work, espically during any holidays (considering that Crimson Ridge is the bets place to shop everyone shops there) Look at all that you get, Great merchandise, free gift wrap and great selection !!! Kip is very high strung and can come off as being rude at times. But i have also seen him take coats to a local elementary school and donate them all to a firs... read more
Must Read - True Story I had been away from Rockford for sometime and moved back to the area with my wife. I made a visit to Crimson Ridge to purchase an anniversary gift. When I had picked out my merchandise I went to the counter to check-out. Kip greeted me and we began to talk about what the occasion was. I told him how I had moved back and that I had always enjoyed his store. Kip was apparently flattered by my kind words and loyalty after being away for years. I say this because he would not let me pay for the merchandis... read more
Happy Surprise Having been to Crimson Ridge many times before, I had not had a terrible warm reception but nothing as rude or negative as some of the reviews mention. I had not been to the store in at least 2 years when on June 26th I went inside looking for a picture frame, with my motorcycle helmet in hand. Kip the owner was behind the counter and suggested I leave my helmet at the counter, I quickly obliged. When I came back with the frame to pay for it, Kip offered me a beer but I declined since I was riding, I did take ... read more
Carol Crimson Ridge is a great place to shop. Many different items that are unique. I have never felt the salespeople look down on me or are rude. I love to get my gifts wrapped and they really do look good. However, there is one thing that has me bugged about Crimson Ridge lately and that is their horrible tasteless radio ads. They started around Christmastime and now for Valentine's Day they have another one going. They talk about guys getting a gift for their gal so they can get "something" in return and we all know what ... read more
