Very convenient location if you want to visit Galloway forest, glentrool dark sky and Wigtown. The property is really cute and staff are super welcoming and friendly. Rooms are good and very neat. A lovely hotel and restaurant/Pub in the village of Newton Stewart. Amazing staff, friendly, helpful and polite. The food is amazing, with a rich menu. The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel to stay and relax a couple of days, given its caste garden in the backyard to have tea or play games. Includes a playground for kids. Incorporated in a historic building, it offers a dinner place,a seperate breakfast room, a bar, cosy cocktail rooms with fire place, and also a cabinet store your bike. Also the personnel was a plus, very empathic. We had a very nice room with a window towards the garden.

I opted for the fish and chips which were very good, and the home made tartar sauce was a good accompaniment. My partner said that her lamb shank was ‘the best she had ever had’ – high praise indeed! Her crème brulée with home-mad... read more
