The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. My first time here and not dissapointed! The fried shrimp and onion rings were perfectly battered. The onion rings were not greasy and you could taste the onion. I love it that my food was served "hot" and not heat lamp warm. The service was great from beginning to end and our waitress Mary is the best!
Im visiting from california and I wanted to try crawfish and alligator, now im hooked!!! Awesome prices and service. Great view of the ocean upstairs.
5lbs crawfish couldn't eat about 2 to 2.5lbs! Over cooked hard and rubbery or nothing but mush and the corn was barely cooked. Best part was the service. Very disappointed since I've had crawfish here before and it was wonderful.
The food was amazing and the oysters were delicious, and waitress Mary was the shiznit. Very attentive and welcoming. Definitely will go bk.
The crawfish was so good! We also had crab and shrimp! We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! We will definitely come back next time we are in kemah.
I go here twice or three times a week an just the other day I ordered oysters an they taste like they have been in the sun for two days. An the waitress proceeded to tell me there not good cause there not in season if there not in season don't serve em . Very disappointed this place is always good but now ill never go back.
We visited last year and loved the food and service. When we came back to visit this year we definitely had this place on our list to visit. Gumbo was great. Oysters were tasty. Bartenders were great and best service. Wish we had time to eat the crawfish

Food was nicely boiled & seasoned!! Seafood Nachos had pleanty of shrimp, crawfish & crab in it!! And to end the meal, the key lime pie was the best!!👍🏽
