The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. We take a lot of pride in our food. My favorite item is the Shrimp & Oyster Diablo; a shrimp, oyster and 1/2 Jalapeno wrapped in bacon deep fried and basted in BBQ sauce. ... read more

We were a little concerned when 5 people walked by us, and only 1 said the hostess will be with us. Our waitress was terrific, and we LOVED every bit of our food. The portions were definitely worth the cost. So many menu choices that we can't wait to go back to try more things.
We had a great time. The staff was friendly and a great conversation. Our food came quickly and it was so good.
Will definitely come back next time! Crawfish, cold beer and service was awesome!
We had a coupon so decided to give it a try. Service was great, food was very good and the sausage & chicken gumbo was awesome. We also had 5lbs of crawfish that I thought were great. The booths upstairs are very tight. I would recommend avoiding those.
Dear management, Alan's has been one of my favorite places for an evening out on the patio for drinks and crab � listening to good music..... I have recommended this place many times to many people. But the last two visits have been disappointing! Service needs to step up their game. Waiting 15 minutes for a drink order is just the beginning. I like the laid back atmosphere but not the laid back service.
