The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. Waited 20 minutes at the bar to get my to go order in, would have called in my order except I tried to 7 times and voice mail after second ring. Got 3 lbs of blue crab, the meat was mushy, in all of it.

We were told 3x crawfish was 6.99 for 5 lbs. We asked waitress are you sure and she said yes we just started special today. We asked for a 3rd time and the waitress said “yes, I’m sure!” We were charged $72.00 for 10lbs. of crawfish. I guess if it sounds too good to be true....it is. Mgr is not training employees correctly and would not stand by what we were told. The manager said yes, 6.99 for 5lbs. It was actually 6.99 a pound for 5 lbs.
