The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. Kehmah location, Husband and I enjoyed the waiter and the crawfish. Enjoyed the live band, only thing I have to say is mild crawfish is very spicy 🌶. Will go again.
I ate there today and the crawfish tasted rancid, so much so that I could not eat them. I told the waitress and was not offered a discount. The crabs and shrimp were delicious. However, I spent $99.00 and they did not compensate me for the NASTY crawfish. I won't ever eat there again.
The food really wasn't good. Some of it was still frozen in the middle! When you go to a restaurant like this you want good Cajun food and we definitely didn't get that! We won't be returning.
We went to eat here last night about 8 pm with the same people we always go up there with (8 people) and was told we had to make a reservation or was not able to be seated till 9. There where tables available. We kept asking y and she could not give us a reason. We have called up there before and couldn't make a reservation, they said they don't take them.......was very upset.
This place sucks!! I went yesterday for my sons 15th birthday, drove 53 miles to be exact cause thats what he wanted. No clean tables were available. When we decided to stand by one so we could hold it they finally decided to clean it. After about 20 minutes of waiting they finally came to take down our drinks. I tried to order appetizers, she said oh no I'm not your waiter just going to get your drinks. Then it took another 20 minutes for them to come take our order for food.
