Craigievar Castle is truly a fairytale come to life. The moment you see its soft pink walls rising out of the Aberdeenshire countryside, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills and woodlands, making the castle stand out like a storybook illustration. Very close to parking. If you are looking for fully restored castle, this is it. Grounds are well kept and clean.
We had gotten reservations through our travel agent and were told that we could arrive anytime. When we got there we were turned away as they were told we were to have been there at 1:30. So, we didn't get a tour. Very disappointed as we drove 3 hours to get there.
Definitely worth taking the tour.
