Bedside manner is poor at best. Condescending and rude. Would not recommend.
Excellent doctor.
I initially found Dr. Schipper through various online review sites and was somewhat familiar (by name only) with Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic. From my initial visit in the Lorton office to discuss options for my foot/toe surgery, to scheduling the procedure, to my post op follow up today, I was very impressed with Dr. Schipper and his staff. We have trusted Dr. Schipper with two of our kids and their ankle and foot issues. We have seen him for an osteoid osteoma as well as stress fractures and he always makes plenty of time for us, answers our questions and makes our kids feel informed on their treatment. We love all the staff working with him as well!
Dr. Wallach has been amazing. He started my terrible back very conservatively, and when surgery was required, he performed a surgery to perfection. I was almost constantly at a pain level 7-10. I couldn't walk more that 100yds without having to sit down, and couldn't stand for more than 5-10 minutes. After a multi-level fusion, I can walk for several miles, (as far as I've wanted) and can stand for as long as I want with minimal to no pain. He is a life changer.
Dr. Wallach is an exceptional doctor! He operated on both my husband and I, with great results. He was caring, explained everything, and was always open to questions. I never felt rushed, and he was always reassuring before and after surgery.
Dr Schipper and staff Brad and Brittney are wonderful. Very pleasant and personable visit. Made to feel comfortable, and Dr Schipper answered all my questions I could think to ask and never left the room until he asked again. That was important to me. To be taken seriously and respected. 5 stars for all of this! On to my options!
I had minimally invasive bunion surgery on 16 July with Dr. Schipper - I am 2 weeks out and the recovery has been much easier than I expected - minimal pain and swelling. I had struggled with bunions and pain for many years but when I met Dr. Schipper I knew he was the best doctor to perform the surgery. My husband has had 3 surgeries with Dr. Wallach and our experience has been exceptional. Dr. Wallach listens intently to his patients and thoroughly explains every action he will take. My husband is so much improved thanks to Dr. Wallach's expertise. His bedside manner is very caring. We trust his recommendations implicitly and would go to no other back surgeon!
