My chronic back pain had me hunched over, barely able to do basic tasks around the house, made it difficult for me to walk or standing, made it hard to sleep in any position, and my social life had vanished. Seeing Dr. Wallach was the best decision I’ve ever made. From the start, he was compassionate, actively listened, and didn't rush to recommend surgery. He did a thorough exam and encouraged me to try non-surgical treatments due to my age. My test results later confirmed spinal stenosis. Dr. Wallach clearly explained the c... read more

Great to talk to and get answers regarding my problem. He listens and explain what is and what could happen for recommended treatments. He is very caring and concerned about your health. He treats you like family.

Dr. Wallach is an excellent surgeon with a welcoming and forthright manner. He responds effectively to questions and encourages his patients to consider alternative treatments prior to considering surgical options. When my L5 disk flattened out I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Wallach performed L5 fusion surgery to correct the problem. The surgical procedure went seamlessly and was very successful. Within two months of the surgery I was walking with a normal gait, bending and stooping with no problem, and doing household chores. ... read more

Lumbar fusion with laminectomy's profile image
Lumbar fusion with laminectomy

My operation required a laminectomy of my lower four vertebra to free up pinched nerves plus two fusions of the lumbar vertebra, two each fusion, and a cage implant to hold the entire lumbar area in place. It has been over three months since my operation and I have gone from pain levels as high as 8 to consistently 1. I am walking 7-8 miles daily at that level now whereas before the operation I had difficulty walking 2 painful slow miles. Walking speed is now at 3 miles per hour and improving. I stand up straight now without... read more

I’ve been seeing Dr Wallach and his PA, Donna Palles, since Sept 2024 for severe back pain and leg numbness that seemed to come out of nowhere as I was fit and active. They both listened carefully and had so much empathy for my MRI diagnosis of severe degenerative disc disease and severe spinal stenosis in my lumbar spine. I started PT immediately and even tried steroid shots, but after 2.5 months, nothing much helped. Dr Wallach performed a 3-level fusion and lami, and I was walking the night of surgery. I couldn’t believe ... read more

I am extremely frustrated and angry with the way I was treated during my appointment with Dr. Wallach this morning, and as a result, I do not recommend him. After a couple appointments (in person and on the phone) with Dr. Wallach's PA, Karess Denny, Karess recommended that I meet Doctor Wallach at my next appointment. Karess has been amazing. She is a great listener, who takes the time to understand the problem(s) and prior treatment history before making her recommendations. As a result, I was shocked by Dr. Wallach's star... read more

Dr Wallach is an amazing doctor. Not only is he a gifted surgeon, but he is a very personable doctor. He explains everything, and does not rush you during your visits. When I’m with him, he gives me his full attention, and very carefully explains exactly what he’s going to do, and what to expect after surgery. He never hesitates to answer all my questions. Both my husband and I have had back surgeries done by Dr. Wallach. The outcome was amazing! It is very apparent that Dr Wallach really cares about his patients! I recommen... read more

They were friendly and courteous. They did not push any surgical procedures.

Dr. Wallach is an exceptional surgeon. Often, when I hear about back surgeries the actual outcome is less than optimal. That has NOT been my experience. I was literally taken to the operating area in a wheel chair due to severe nerve pain in my back and right leg. Two months ago Dr. Wallach performed surgery on me. Today I am fully functional and pain free. In fact, I was pain free and off pain meds shortly after being discharged from the hospital. Dr. Wallach and his associate PA Donna Davis are gifted caregivers to whom I ... read more
