No one came out so I called friday morning and was told yet again someone would be there before the end of the day on friday. It is now saturday and again i was told someone will be out before 6pm today to turn on my power it is now 5:44. I cannot mentally handle this shit anymore. I cant charge my phone and after sitting on hold with them for 1hr my phone died in the middle of the night so my ... read more

Started home building project in November 2020 and notifed Consumers Power service would be needed. Contacted by Consumers engineering in April told them Project on County road and permit needed which builder had made them aware of earlier. Received bill for $2200 in May and met with Consumer Rep. on site, said they would schedule when bill paid which I did the day we met also sending contract work back. Checked week later and sent contract work again. May 26 spoke with Allegan county permit issued, notified Consumers, more ... read more

They made a mistake on paperwork and now two days without power and they don’t have no one to fix it until Monday. And there’s no way to hold them accountable for this 5 days without power. Horrible customer service and lack of personal who is capable to work with software got us in this mess. Now no one can fix it apparently. We need different options as customers I wish I’d never had to deal with them again. And what if something happens because of the lack of electricity will the be held accountable?

Horrible business as well as the government that allowed them to increase the rates during the day. Their little site said that our bill would only go up less than a dollar. Got my bill today and it increased over one hundred dollars.

This company has been on my nerves with its pricing for years, but this year they jacked up prices 50% weekdays from 2-7pm. This is price gouging!!! My wife is a stay-at-home grandmother. We are not going to modify our usage of necessary utilities just to appease usage limits the company wants because it does not invest properly in the infrastructure it needs to maintain appropriate power. Over the last decade, I have made improvements to my home; new windows and doors and a new roof, which should have cut my utility bill do... read more

Their power infrastructure is crap. They hike rates for no justifiable reason. They charge extra between 2-7pm weekdays which is just ripping people off. The power goes down on a whim and they take forever to get it fixed. I can't stand this company, they are greedy, incompetent and absolutely pathetic.

Consumers Energy has become nothing but a money making scheme shitting on the folks who cant afford it. There are enormous turbines all over carson city that are so loud we can hear them running in our homes. yet somehow we Are having to pay more money during peak hours when the heat is the worst... they take advantage of the fact that we have no choice but to stay with their scam of a company and are making it so folks can either be roasting in their homes during the day or broke and cant afford to live.

This is a terrible company that doesn't know anything about energy. They over charge and under delivery. They run all of these "green" initiatives as a guise to just charge us more. In reality they aren't green at all. They are pushing inefficient wind mills while closing down much more efficient and cheaper nuclear plants when they should be opening modern nuclear plants. Wind mills and solar are not green, they are the exact opposite. The amount of energy and natural resources it takes to make a single wind mill is astound... read more
