Dedicated Service – This Family-run shop has full service computer repairs and sales. I have been a customer for about 7 years and have bought 5 computers here. Any time something goes wrong with one of my computers, I call and no time is inconvenient for Computronics staff to offer help. Sometimes things get hectic as many customers want their computers repaired now (like me), but when I am patient all things work out fine and efficiently. Don't trust the positive reviews. – These guys cut every corner to save themselves money. How many times do YOU want to drive your broken computer to West LA only to be pitched to buy a new one from them? Terrible service and dishonest owners at Computronics.
Outstanding personal service for computers – Jacob at Computronics is extremely patient with a wide variety of sometimes high-maintenance people who come to his shop; he and his staff are very quick to diagnose the problem and are very helpful in rendering a cure. Given the shop's location in West Los Angeles, a odd variety of folks visit---he handles all personalities with care and charm. Would highly recommend visiting his establishment---a very capable outfit that solved my persistent computer problems.
I'm very happy – I first went to Jacob because I needed a new CMOS battery which was installed deep inside my laptop. I had it back in a few hours working perfectly. Quite sometime later a different laptop of mine lost its external hard drive which held all my data files. Jacob was able to extract the data, and transfer it all to a new external drive and I was up and running the next day. He gave me the old one back and told me that if I was willing to wait about a month, Seagate would probably replace it under warranty. The... read more
everything computers – when i needed the latest macbook for my daughter's birthday, i found it here at a significant savings from the apple store.
MAJOR rip-off artists. DO NOT patronize this company. – I brought in a specialized VCR (time lapse) for repair, the tape was not loading. I was immediately charged $35.00 for a "check-up" fee, and was quoted a $95.00 total for repairs. Two days later, Jacob called me to tell me he had the machine open in front of him and noticed a broken part. Great people and service at Computronics – People care about customer and offer nice service. They have a lot of equipment for sale too. Free parking.
WARNING: STAY AWAY! FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD – Bait and switch. Stay away. This place can only be described as a total rip off. Lies about being able to repair and then tries to jack up price. Should be put in jail.
Computronics Lives Up to Their Promises – I have been told so many times over the phone that someone can repair something, only to find out too late that they are not able to deliver as promised. So, when I called the store the day prior to bringing in my computer for repair and was told they could fix my problem within an hour (Best Buy's repair service was going to take almost 3 weeks), I was very leery and prepared to be disappointed.
