I always feel great after donating a few platelets and the staff at the Gladstone location is a terrific group of people that makes every effort to make everyone feel appreciated and comfortable.
I can't remember when CBC first asked me to switch to platelet donations, but I remember thinking "huh...alright. Sure. I'll try." And I'm so glad I did those few years ago. While all donations of blood products are important, I have seen in my own work place the benefits of platelet donations. It's pretty cool to think, while they may not be my own, someone's donation is saving a tiny life. So for those currently doing whole blood donations, give platelet donation a try.
