I had AJ Perri come out for their advertised AC tune up and was told I needed to add Freon and replace the TXV valve; the $2k cost of the repair was at a point that it would make more sense to install a new system since my ac is nearing the end of its average life. The $50 tune-up was now turning into a $16k replacement. I hired another contractor for a second opinion - I needed no Freon and I do not even have a TXV. I purchased a house in August of 2020. It had a dual HVAC system, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The upstairs unit was a split system heat pump with the air handler in an upstairs closet. The downstairs unit was an all-in-one with the unit mounted outside the crawlspace. Inspections determined that the crawlspace ducts had to be replaced as well. I have worked with this company for almost 10 years and seen service diminish exponentially every year since. The turnover rate of technicians must be at least t 75% and that is never a good sign. Appointments for service are often late and record keeping is abysmal. The last two times I called I was told I did not have a service account or that there was no record of my being a customer. Today, an appoint I made two weeks ago never happened and I was never informed that it was cancelled. Caveat emptor!

This company does not know what they are doing or they are CROOKS!! i called for service on my HVAC because the A/C would not work every Spring, They recommended I replace the 4 year old unit. They installed the new unit and the problem never went away. I still had the same problem with the A/C not working in the Spring. I paid $10,000 for the new unit and $400 to $700 every year the same problem, A/C not working. After 6 years, I got a new company and found out that the ducts had collasped. This company does a very poor job with customer service. I have been in contact with the local quality assurance manager, and am still getting zero resolution to my problems with them. When they came out to replace our sewage pipe, they snagged electrical wires with the backhoe and successfully broke a 220 volt breaker clean out of the box. After going one week between calling the manager (who had promised to call back the next day), I am now going on 3 days of not receiving a call back from them about when they will fix thi... read more
