I like the neighborhood and it is clean and kept up well. This is a truly great neighborhood and it’s in sync with my current lifestyle. I take comfort living in such a nice area. Safety is paramount and the crime here seems to be nonexistent. This residence is close to places for jogging, biking (by a river), playing tennis or golf. There are several families here providing opportunities for children to play, socialize, and make lifelong friends. Let's not pretend that colonial deserves even a single star. If you don't go in and watch them write a work order out then don't expect anything to happen. I can't even tell you how many emails I have sent requesting everything from lightbulbs to an electrical/burning smell. After about three emails on the electrical smells, someone came out and said it was nothing and left. Another email in and someone finally put up a panel in the closet. Definitely would not recommend. Our apartment was outdated when we moved in. The cabinets were torn up and old. The countertops and floors were stained and disgusting. The lobby area constantly reeks of cigarette smoke (my husband is allergic) and the stairs leading to our apartment are rickety, old, and disgusting. The place is drafty and this causes outrageous electric bills during the winter. The A/C and furnace are SO LOUD. You have to blast the TV to hear over them. We couldn’t wait to move out.
Would never consider this place again , nor will I ever let any of my co-workers stay here . The place is terribly outdated , I ask to have the cable fixed and it never was in two months . Overpriced for what you get , better off in a hotel . The grand finale for me was when they kept my deposit because I didn’t return a key even though I was moved out a week early , signed a document saying I was leaving on the correct day and followed it up with a phone call to say I was moved out . I'm sorry there was an issue with issuing your Deposit Refund, but the Book Keeper was abiding my Corporate Rules and Regulations that we have to follow regarding Fair Housing with everyone. Until Keys are returned we don't consider someone moved out. People tend to stay past an initial move out date for different reasons. We can't just assume someone moved out without keys and such returned to the office.
Beautiful grounds, nice staff and very spacious townhouses! I love Colonial Crest!
