Built in 1934, the main building functioned as a nursing home for over 50 years. Renovated by the current owner, Cohen's Retreat has been lovingly restored to become one of the City's most eclectic destination for art, food and community. We loved our lunch at Cohen's Retreat today. The food was fabulous and Matt gave us fantastic service. The shops are very charming as well. We will return for sure.
If you haven't been to Cohen's, you are missing out on one of the best restaurants in the city. Excellent atmosphere, food and service!! As good as any restaurant downtown without the inflated prices and annoying parking problems. Don't miss the crab soup, Delmonico steak, Chilean sea bass and homemade cinnamon roll for dessert. Everything they serve is amazing. Support this gem Savannah!!!!
Dinner tonight was excellent! Best meal I've had in a long time!
We stopped in for drinks to check out the new bar area and the very friendly staff showed us the menu and told us the specials and we couldn't resist coming back for dinner. We enjoyed every bite! Delicious! Bonus was staying close to home and not having to deal with downtown parking.
Fabulous meal! Exceptional ambiance! They new ownership is superb!
