Built in 1934, the main building functioned as a nursing home for over 50 years. Renovated by the current owner, Cohen's Retreat has been lovingly restored to become one of the City's most eclectic destination for art, food and community. It's Restaurant Week in Savannah - we chose Cohen's Retreat. The BEST meal. The service and food were impeccable. Fried green tomatoes, salmon, and steak all receive 5 stars. The Leopold's dark chocolate ice cream and the rice pudding are worth the calories. We will definitely be going back to order from the regular menu.

From an event venue perspective, this place is an absolute nightmare. We had issues from the moment our contract was signed, and they continued well after our wedding reception was over. The contract is pretty vague, but they're sure to reference it when it works in their favor. Otherwise, nothing for you as a customer is set in stone. Serving lion meat is an atrocity! People need to stop patronizing this establishment!
You can't sell meat that is not USDA inspected. That's the law.
Your business will not survive. You likely already know this. Bad humans.
I think this place should be shut down. It is a disgusting restaurant
