Mission Our Mission Is To Speak For The Animals History The Coconino Humane Association was founded in 1955 by a group of concerned and dedicated people who felt there needed to be a change in the way animals were being treated in our community. The shelter was built with donations from businesses, service organizations, and a few very dedicated individuals. The shelter works hard for the animals and it is not easy to care for all the animals they do! Not just dogs and cats but farm animals too when they get them!! They do as much as they can for the animals. It is so much better than it was years ago. They save as many animals as they can, treating sicknesses, injuries and other things. The euthanasia amount is very small and never euthanize for space anymore!! So happy with our new girl as she settles in with us! She's so sweet and loving. Adoption here is an awesome compassionate experience.
