Mission Our Mission Is To Speak For The Animals History The Coconino Humane Association was founded in 1955 by a group of concerned and dedicated people who felt there needed to be a change in the way animals were being treated in our community. The shelter was built with donations from businesses, service organizations, and a few very dedicated individuals. This has been my happy place for many years. The staff is amazing and they work so hard to provide a loving environment for these animals in their transition to finding a home. When I’m ready to adopt a dog I plan on driving up to flagstaff to take a visit to the Coconino Humane Society!
