A lovely little hotel in a great location at the South Shore and is quieter than the main beach which is walkable or you can get a bus or train regularly Our 2nd visit to the Clontarf Hotel and we were well looked after and enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast
Stayed 9th to 11th May 2025. This review should also be on Booking.Com. Great location and interesting house. Lots of touches unique to Mark and J. We had the large room at the top with great views.Breakfast great and conversation and report brilliant. Other guests were friendly too. The outstanding legacy for us (Mark & Wendy) was that I was inspired by the comfortable pillows and took Mark's recommendation to buy Dunlopillo. We enjoyed a short break in July in room no. three. Every room is individually decorated, as is the entire hotel in a Victorian style manner with a modern twist. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Dogs are welcome. Joni and Marc are warm and welcoming hosts. Very recommendable.
This was a fantastic bed and breakfast/hotel! Absolutely 10/10. The owners are friendly, give good recommendations in the area, and were all around great hosts. The room we stayed in (Stylish Super King Deco) was well decorated & fun, the bed was comfy, the location is on the quieter/less touristy part of the island, and the breakfast was consistently good each day. No notes - couldn’t imagine a better place to stay.
Brilliant 2 night stay with our 2 dogs. Mark and Joanie were very gracious hosts. Will definitely be going back.
