The cleveland clinic foundation is a "not for profit" institution, however, it should be stated "not for your profit" I have utilized their services, and my experience is that their billing department is run by imbeciles who only care about nailing a collection. I have been double billed, I have been charged for things that I did not request in elective visits, and now I have been charged for services when I was never at the hospital. Made an appt w cardio Dr ******Cleveland Clinic Florida thru his front desk over a month ago. Filled in their laborious and extensive online questionnaire. They confirmed three times that this cardio doc took Zoom visits from new patients. Visit was set for April 28th 2022 at 3pm. TODAY, April 25th 2022 at 10am, I get a call from their "coordinator" telling me that the doctor does NOT take zoom visits for new patients, canceled appointment. Atrocious. My stay on the bowel disease unit was horrible! The charge nurse was horrible!!! My sugar dropped after surgery as it does. I fell called for help from the call button in my room and 2 police officers came to my room and searched my belongings. They found nothing. I have never been treated so horribly!!! I was moved into a room with a babysitter and a disruptive patient so I checked myself out before it was time. I do not recommend staying on the bowel disease unit. The nurses are awful!!!!!! I was admitted in March 2021 for an ablation. Things went horribly wrong, and i ended up with emergency open heart surgery. When i was released from the ICU i was not assigned a team to monitor me. I spent a weekend after open heart surgery without a physician assigned to me for monitoring. I didn't get one until i started screaming at them, and then they said oops, our bad.
Day begins with a disabled person attempting to valet his car. Waits to drop off car average 20-40 min. . In 10 consecutive days retrieval time took 45-60 min with my car “lost” on 2 occasions. With the money CCF has to buy up properties to expand and build, don’t you think there would be funds to employ more valets to relieve this patient/visitor stress ? My first impression of the Cleveland Clinic experience was NOT a positive one. LK , North Carolina

I was forced to wear a shield when my doctor specifically has a written note that I can’t tolerate any face covering. The lady even called my doctors office about it. It was humiliating and mean. If someone was allergic to say some cream or device they wouldn’t be made to use it. Face coverings give me severe anxiety. They don’t care. They just care that a disease that is 98% curable is preventable. What a joke you are Cleveland Clinic!!
I was charged $423.75 for a tetanus shot. That is close to a week’s worth of pay for me. The national average is $25 to $60.
With your covid mandate you are sentencing people to death who would other have a chance at life. DO NO HARM!!!!!!

I had this experience a year or so ago, reported it to the Ombudsman, never got any satisfaction. My neurologist referred me to a mental health department that worked with epileptic patients with emotional issues. M.D. acted like I was a mosquito buzzing around the way he flicked me off. No one assigned to work with me. Had enough patients, could not accommodate me. Left me with that. No other info or alternate way to get treatment, like a satellite facility.
