The medical billing department is just plain awful. It shouldn't take Blue Cross Blue Shield having to call the department to get them to do their job..and then they end up failing miserably at it anyway (and twice!)

The medical staff was "nice" but the ER doctor could not accomplish what needed to happen so my husband was transferred to another hospital. Exactly one month prior to this latest visit for the exact same problem, the ER doctor and staff were able to do what needed doing and we were able to go home following the procedure. I think a lot of the experience is the luck of the draw...who is on duty and just how skilled that particular person is.
I had a very good experience here. Best nursing staff on the Observation unit (especially Jacklin and Meagan) I have ever had anywhere. The doctors finally took the time to figure out a problem that has sent me to the ER for years.
Went to Clear Lake because 1 my son was born there and 2 I didn't want to sit at Utmb and wait for records to be transferred. We went to check in at the ER. When the lady heard the symptoms my son was having (he's only 2 months) she jumped on the phone to get him in the back asap. We didn't go to pedi unit, instead they put us in the trauma unit to be seen quick. They did a great job getting tests started and results back to make sure it wasn't RSV.. L&D and the post-partum unit were phenomenal. Every nurse was so kind and did everything they could to help me. I was in the hospital for 6 days due to pre eclampsia and ultimately had to deliver my baby early. My son had to stay in the NICU and the nurses there were so professional and cared for our son so well. If we were to ever have another baby we'd definitely return here.
