Our experience at Clear Lake Regional has been wonderful. My fiancé was admitted due to her water breaking two and a half months before our baby's due date. She was put on hospital bedrest and was told she ruptured too much so she would not be leaving the hospital pregnant. It was a hard situation but we had some great nurses make our stay as comfortable as possible. After one week on bedrest, she was able to finally get up to use the restroom on her own. The ER is great, ICU is awesome, but don't EVER let them send you to the 6th Floor in Heart and Vascular. That is the WORST unit I have ever seen. My father was there for a month and I complained daily for surgical bandages not being changed, water not available, bathing daily, assistance with eating, improperly taking temperatures (especially in someone with raging infections). I will never go back!! Yesterday March 5 2017 my daughter in law was in labor so we were in labor and delivery. Anyway I felt so discriminated by the RN that was taking care of her. It is sad that this happens at a hospital My daughter in law and family are white my son does not look Hispanic he also looks white so they were treated so good until I got there. I thought they were great a first. My daughter was admitted there for having seizures unexpectedly. Oh and then I started getting very sick because I was pregnant, morning sickness is a pain. They nurses were very rude and had the worst bed side manner ever! Oh and here's the one I love the most, The same nurse thought I was smoking weed, apparently she smokes weed because I haven't smoked weed that was teenager. Don't even bother attempting to schedule an induction date for labor and delivery. I scheduled my two weeks in advanced, no issues or problems. The morning of my induction date I received a call saying they had to push my time back because they were to "full" then I called back an hour later to be told there is an extra room but since I'm not a "priority" I would have to wait for the second room to open.
