The entire process was stressful. Salesman had to check with other employees concerning answers and resolution to our questions and concerns. Not one employee had the same answer to any questions. My wife and I started the process of purchasing a new home in march. Clayton of Rogersville TN. told us to pay a $1000 dollar deposit to have our home ordered and the manufacturing process would start! well after a month the home had still not been put in the system for order, so finally the home was put in production! Our 2023 Tru model Clayton Built Home is an ongoing nightmare! The Belton Tx factory representatives are just awful. It will 10 months in September that we have been dealing with roof leaks, major structural issues, etc. Joey C. Has diminished each warranty repair item. He refuses to address anything. I contacted Clayton Homes Ocala when I wanted to purchase a home to put on property I was buying. I spoke with Jordys, and on initial conversation, he was very pleasant and seemed to want to help. As the purchase of the land progressed, I needed more information for the finance company as the land and home were being financed together. Jordys was very difficult to reach by phone. We started working with Clayton Homes, Paradise, Pa in April 2023 timeframe. We submitted the electronic application and within 3 weeks received approval from 3 lenders. We had visited 2 other Clayton facilities but due to the location of our property we HAD to utilize the facility in Paradise, PA. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I bought a Traditional double wide manufacture home from Clayton Homes. My wife and I have live in our new home for over a year now. I must say this is the worst put together home I have ever seen. If you are looking for a new home DO NOT buy a Clayton Home. Clayton Homes provides a one-year structural warranty, and allows items such as these to be addressed during that time, along with a 30 day cosmetic warranty. The items mentioned would need to be addressed during the one-year period.
Sorry warranty and they sell junk I have had trouble since day one siding, electric,interior walls counter top coming unglued cabinets peeling roof shingles coming off weak floor spots refrigerator lasted a year 2 air conditioner number 2 is gone out now so I guess the 3rd is on me and the list goes on I paid cash for this house brand new biggest mistake I ever made im in my 60s not rough by no means but Clayton's house's are cheap built there warranty is a joke it's amazing you get a better warranty on a new vehicle so advi... read more
