We have been in our home three weeks and already there are countless amounts of issues. Unfortunately, purchasing a Clayton Home has been a total disappointment. The amount we are paying for this home is not worth the poor quality of the product. The home itself has been very poorly built. The entire place looks like it is going to completely fall apart within a couple of months. This is the worst mobile home that I have seen built, My granddaughter bought this about a year ago, now a single mom raising a 10month old baby and dealing with electrical problems inside water issues the kitchen microwave has quit working, people have come out a couple times to fix things and made it worse,nshe bought this in Cloverdale VA, I have been a builder for years and I don't know how half this stuff can pass inspection,, I do think county inspectors should be called out and see that it needs ground fault outlets ,... read more

I let my son buy a mobile home from Clayton's so that him and his family would have a place to live I let him set it up in my backyard. Unfortunately Clayton mobile homes did not me our satisfaction my yard is full of deep potholes there's a great big crater in my backyard and they won't fix it and when I called to complain they want to charge me $900. So it looks like courtroom here we come. I didn't even replace the gravel.

Only added 1 star because if you don't you can not go forward.they do not deserve a Star unless you subtract.this company and associates are crooks.they sale defective homes and do nothing about it. I definitely don't recommend this company or there products to anyone.theyre a very shady company. Please do your research before you attempt to buy,have work done... Clayton Homes used newspaper as my Insulation. I payed alot for my insulation, for my floors, walls and roof. I found out by going under my house and seeing newspaper coming out of the black plastic, that was holding the insulation in. I payed for the best insulation. They sure did take my money!!!! They took advantage of me, because I am a woman. I am now sure that they used newspaper as my insulation, in my roof, walls and floors. DONOT BUY A CLAYTON HOME!!!! Purchased a Clayton Home in April 2022. We sent a list to A-1 Homes in San Antonio of things wrong, some got fixed some didn't. I contacted head office and they told me to contact CMH Manufacturing in Belton Tx. I did this and they ask me to send picures and discriptions. I did this a month ago with no response. I explained my husband passed and was unable to contact them sooner. Since then I had to replaced walls in both bathrooms due to moisture in the walls. If I could give a negative review I would. I purchased a doublewide from Clayton Homes in Spencer, WV. October 2022. After I purchased the home I was informed the store was being shut down. I do believe I should have been I informed of this before I made the purchase. The Cheyenne built by Rutledge in Tennessee. I had complaints about the trim before I purchased the home. They promised they would fix the trim once it was on my property. But that was just the beginning of my troubles. The home has black mold under the carpets... read more

Buying a clayton home was the worst mistake we could have made. So many issues with this home. AC ductwork not good only cools down certain rooms, cabinets put in upside down, floor lifting, doors and windows leak when it rains so many other problems with this home and have not even had it for a year yet. You send emails to person who is supposed to help with your issues no response and you email supervisors and no reply to your emails. It’s all well and good until it’s sold. Then you realize how crappy these are put together. And all the things that were wrong, from the floor to the roof. If I had just did some homework the reviews speak volumes. I’m angry at myself. Don’t make the same mistake I did, read the reviews. See how many 1 star ratings. It’s absurd.
