I bought a land/ home package from Clayton. They built my porch and attached to my home. My porch is pulling away from home. All the aiding is coming off and I have a big crack between my porch and home. I can’t get anyone from Clayton to talk to me about. I talked to my homeowner insurance and they said the porch problem comes from Clayton not building the porch correctly. Do not buy a home from Clayton. They do not follow through on anything

zero stars. my daughter and son in law purchased the home and land separate. finally got the home on the land. part of contract was that the seller of the land would have the water run. the house has been ready since August 2023, but seller still has not run the water. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do NOT buy a house from them. I've been dealing with them for YEARS after they signed a contract saying they would fix any damages to my house. They refused to fix anything after the first year because they took too long to get to everything that needed to be fixed, so they just told me my time ran out, when that's not the case. Going g on 2 years since my home was delivered and set. I continually find more and more VERY POOR craftsmanship in the building of my home. I am very displeased with what I have and will pay for for the nxt 30years of my life. 0/10, still 2 years later, still have a bjnch of stuff not fixed the main thing is the siding 2 different colors, its wavy, tore, and missing in spots. Cracks in the ceiling from original transport. Holes in the kitchen linoleum where they were gonna put a vent and never did. Clayton said it was fine to have an open contract to have stuff finished, and said they were gonna fix it. Now they wont even stand behind it.

Worst experience in buying a manicured home. All answer are vague or not correct. Lots of details that were not disclosed. Contractor has sib contractors that manage him and not the otherwise. Excuses like truck was broke down for 3 weeks. ( find someone else. Your customer is first) Home is on property now over 6 weeks and we are being told another 6 weeks . Sold our original house with expectations of moving into new place by now. Spending more money a month than I make living in a short term motel and now another 6 weeks.... read more

From start to finish of the home being installed, the experience as a whole was disheartening. It took over 9 months to receive the keys to our new home. The manager at the location left mid sale. We thought we were purchasing a well built home, a forever home for our family. And now, only 7 years in, due to manufacturing defects of the plumbing system, we just had to pay close to 10k to have the house re-piped and all new insulation and flooring.
