Ive been going to Clarkson Eyecare for just about 4 years, and I have an appointment coming up in July, however, all contact I have with Clarkson Eyecare will be ending, and I will be canceling my appointment after the horrendous experience I had with the front desk at the Loveland, Ohio location. On 06/11/2021, I called to ask if I could pick up just a pair of trial contacts as I had lost one of my contacts while swimming and my glasses were an outdated prescription, so I needed my contacts in order to be able to drive. The way the charge sales tax not on what you pay . They charge on full price before any insurance. Would like this looked into.

Went in with a pair of sunglasses that I own to have an eye exam and a prescription put in. Was charged $139 only to be called an hour later and advised that I was not charged enough and it would be an additional $140. I accepted the charge thinking that would be the end of it. Now that the glasses are ready, I am told that I owe $340 for frames that I already own in addition to the $139 already paid. This place are crooked as can be. I will never return.

I went to Clarkson eyecare for about 10 years. Went to my appointment on 04/05/21. Last time they were monitoring my cataracts so I had my exam, last time I was -1 now it’s -2 the technician said I’m now a candidate for my surgery. And I was having vision problems so I ordered glasses. She said I qualified for reading glasses, now I have bifocals why do I need reading glasses. She never mentioned a price. I wish I could give the location on West Broad street in Columbus Oh a zero star. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses from these people, one took four weeks to come in and I’m still waiting for the second pair (6 weeks later)!! Their customer service is horrible and I was given one excuse after another. I now am going somewhere else to get my glasses. NEVER EVER go to the location, it’s a joke!!

Clarkson is a joke, last year when they tried to bill me after I had already paid for my glasses I said I would never go back there. I decided to give them another try BIG mistake. First, they never called to tell me my glasses were ready but when I went to pick them up I could not see anything out of my progressive lenses. The front desk person said oh this is not even your prescription we'll send it back and have them remake them. The second pair I assumed was fine and I went home. Clarkson at the eager road location needs to ensure that the receptionists Kayla and Olivia are actually doing their job. I scheduled a new patient appointment online. That appointment time no longer worked for me, so I called the store to reschedule with Olivia. However, when I arrived. I was told that not only did I not have an appointment but that I wasn’t even in the system. Which is impossible, especially since I was able to show proof of a confirmation email that I received. If I could give 0 stars I would. The doctor at the Imperial office treated myself and daughter horribly. My daughter has a legitimate health condition (that they knew about) and were treated awful. We ended up leaving without even getting an exam. Obviously she should not be in this profession if she can't treat people decently.

Recently I ordered a pair of prescription reading glasses from Clarkson. I waited four weeks for them to arrive. After I got them home I realized they were defective and returned them to be fixed. The left lens was not seated properly in the frame : you could see approx. 3 inches of thin air between the edge of the lens and the frame! Two weeks have now gone by with no reading glasses, no apology, no update, no explanation. I've been wearing glasses since 1965 and have never seen the likes of this.
