Buyer beware...if you sign up, LA Fitness will make you jump through a lot of hoops to cancel your membership, such as mailing your cancellation request certified ** mail (just in case they forget to process the first one or it gets lost in the mail) or walking into a physical branch. Even then, your membership will run another month or so cause you pay for it when you sign up. The staff (not all, but 97% of them) are the worst people at the gym, they are rude, disrespectful, they want to be friends with the members even if the members dont want to have interaction with them, they start harrasing the members. People are a bunch of thiefs they charge me for service that was never giving to me and now they do not want to credit my account the manager for the LA Fitness from Hunters Creek his name is ****** very unethical and a thief. He knows that I did not get those services and he charge me a fee of $700 dollars. I confronted the guy for taking the money and not crediting the money back. So far so good. The one annoying part is that I have to ask 1 month ahead of time to put a hold on my subscription and pay money to secure it. This is not always evident.
LA Fitness delays the cancelation and takes the month in advance payment you made at the start of your membership. How this company can maintain an A rating from BBB amazes me. I had to cancel my credit card so that LA Fitness could not keep charging me. This type of practice needs to be addressed.
The manager was very rude to my daughter. She pays good money for a gym that has broken machines and almost nothing works. The manager has an attitude problem and should be fired
First of all, Good luck if your cancellation request happens within 30 days of request. Average time for the cancellation process for LA Fitness membership is 3-4 months. You will be charged additional 3-4 months of membership fees by the time you submit the cancellation. I canceled my membership online through the website three months ago. I was a complicated and roundabout process but I KNOW that I accessed it through their official website. I found out they have continued to bill me and when I called to see why they told me that there is no option to cancel online and that you MUST visit a branch in person to cancel. When I go to their website now to try and find the original form I used, it is completely gone.
