I am handicap and I wanted to work out. Unfortunately, I never was able to use the membership. I called to cancel and they put me on a $10 maintenance program. I realized with my condition I was not going to be able to use it. I emailed to cancel several times with no response. I went to the gym and they refuse to cancel my membership. I had a $10 balance with I would not pay. I never once used the membership and when I tried to cancel they talked me into keeping it on maintenance. I joined L.A. Fitness *****, ** since last September 2022. July, one of the Personal training advisors, Lied to me convincing me to take the personal training classes for 3 months with a rate for 3 months instead of a full year contract because I dont like contracts. I wanted to bring to your attention a concern I had during my first visit to the gym today around 11:30am. Upon arrival, I waited in line. The guy at the front desk stopped talking to the person who was there, leaned over, and said, "You have a question?", as if it wasn't my first time there. This company scams you by not allowing you to cancel your membership. I have contacted them multiple times to correct this. I first tried to cancel my membership on a weekend, Saturday, as we cannot cancel it online. I spoke with a gentleman that stated we could cancel on Monday and would not get charged the additional month. I noticed on Monday, they did not cancel it as it tried to charge my account. I then called on Tuesday and spoke with the "general manager" and he stated they do not cancel the membership over the phone... read more

I went to workout today at this location and I was in the grass area stretching so I took my shoes off and the employee came to me and said put my shoes back on and I told him Im just stretching and he kept saying just put your shoes on being rude! I ask to speak to the manager and the white skinny guy in the front said he was the main manager and that no one is higher up than him. He said it was in the policy so I ask to show me and he couldnt find anything. I was treated very poorly from the staff at this location.

I was body shamed going to the gym when starting up my membership. Not once, not twice, but 3 times. By the manager too! Its ridiculous. Im just a new mom that wanted to lose weight and get my body back on track. Instead I get shamed for my body. I also struggle with a hormonal disease (pcos) and the gym manager told me that its basically not an excuse for weight gain, when really it is, which is why I wanted to come to the gym. DO NOT GET the trial pass from this LA Fitness location because theyll pressure you into signing up. More importantly, DO NOT DO a post-payment agreement because that cannot be canceled online, over the phone, or in person. If you do a post-payment with them, understand that you will be charged no matter what. Here is my experience with LA Fitness in Lodi; I visited them on April 4th to try it out. Continue to call and bill my credit card to hurt my credit . I've call talk to staff and went in impersonally to cancel . LA Fitness has practiced fraud against me and many other customers. They continue to bill me for over three thousand dollars a month

We signed up for a Personal Training to help us for better results with my husband.We called and go to the club to Cancel the membership but they didnt want to cancel.They never have personal trainings available, we never get the chance to get training! We paid a lot! Its not fair! Also the sales man that sale us the plan was very rude and indifferent! All the people in front desk always in their phone and very rude.We want to cancel our personal training!!
