I regret signing up with LA Fitness. They make it unnecessarily hard to cancel your agreement!! I signed up for a month to month membership. They make you jump through so many hoops just to cancel. I logged onto my LA Fitness portal and went to the cancellation tab. It says to print a PDF form and to mail to the address provided on the form. NOWHERE on the Cancellation tab does it mention needing to be sent via certified mail. Terrible business. Like most others, I got roped in to the personal training scam. The first few training sessions were decent but then the trainer wouldn't arrive for the scheduled time and one of the other employees would have to cover them. The sessions weren't even as advertised at all and honestly pretty basic and useless. Now I don't even want to go to the gym normally anymore. I lost the motivation for it after this whole dilemma. Nice facilities and plenty locations. But they have gone downhill since covid. Of the 2 in ****, ** they have several broken universal and cadio machines. But that's not even what I'm complaining about. After Covid I went to unfreeze my account and add a guest. They told me that would be an additional $45/mo to add a guest to my $39.99 monthly fee. When I said no to that they told me if I sign up for a new account I could get 2 guests and pay $49.99/mo total. They signed me up and ran my card extra times causing it to declin... read more

My name is ******, and I am a disabled Army veteran. I signed up for a gym membership and personal training. A couple weeks after signing up, I was hospitalized due to some medical issues and diagnosed with a condition that wouldn't allow me to workout for the foreseeable future. I have paid on time for 6 months with LA fitness for personal training and want to use it and now they are telling me I cannot. I have provided documentations on why I could not and now I spent over **** and have not used one session. All I want is to be able to use what I paid for and want access to my account.

I joined LA Fitness at the ********** and ******** location in ***********. I have nothing bad to say about the gym itself. I was always clean and had a lot of very good equipment and rarely was anything out of service as the maintenance was good too.Shortly after COVID began the gym initially shut down (as did all establishments) and once they reopened members were required to schedule appointments. I would love to upload the ** images and emails I have sent this location. This location has been a dirty land fill since before covid. Roaches in the sauna and trash everywhere, ****** machines. Not sure how this a facility has an A rating when all the reviews are negative.
