This B&B is an absolute gem! It's a wonderful family-run business located in a beautiful part of South Hams. The rooms are super comfortable, modern, and always spotless. The breakfast is fantastic with lots of freshly cooked options available. The location couldn't be better — you've got easy access to local walks and beaches, plus plenty of great pubs and restaurants nearby. The place was lovely and light. The staff were friendly. The only issues I saw were - Other patrons allow their doors to slam shut constantly and it’s very intrusive. There were no places to hang hand towel or bath towels in the bathroom. Placing a full length mirror directly at the toilet so you stare at yourself while pooping is… an interesting choice.

I recently stayed at Chillington House for 4 nights. The room was very clean and well maintained as was the breakfast area and lounge. I assumed the whole B & B had been recently re-furnished (which I think my room’s bathroom had as it was pristine). However, I gather the owners constantly maintain this very high standard. A ‘stitch in time saves nine’ approach I suppose. Considering they have owned the business for 14 years it is commendable that their attention to detail has not waned.
