We were on vacation and my son had to get 25 stitches. The oral surgeon was outstanding, best I've seen. Nurses were great but be careful of the student doctors that don't know what they are doing. After the surgeon told us the 3 prescriptions he was giving us the student argued there was only 1. After a while they came back with another which she gave us wrong instructions on usage. My 6 yr old was sent from Springfield to see the wonderful doctors at Children's Mercy. He ended up having his eye removed (after a terrible accident). We had same day surgery/outpatient and everyone was phenomenal! He has had a surgery before and this was a great set up! Excellent doctors and nurses! I give a 10+

What they say is true, heros don't always wear capes. My 2 day old daughter was flown here from springfield, due to a major unknown bleed in her brain. We had no signs of this coming, and they acted fast. its been a long few days, but my daughter is doing miraculous and will be on her way home very soon. I'll never be able to pay them back for the work they have done, and the amazing job of saving my daughters life. Today we are celebrating our son, Isaac's 9th birthday. He spent 11 days there after being flown in from Joplin, Mo. We were, and still are, very grateful for everything!
This hospital and their satellite doctors in Wichita, KS. have taken phenomenal care of my grandson. We trust their care and decisions at every turn.
Our baby, Kyler, was born on July 6, 2015 in Maryville, MO. Soon after he was born, he was diagnosed with a gap between his small intestine & his colon. The surgeons & nurses at Children's Mercy saved his life. Our family is greatful to the wonderful staff that helped us with everything we needed in such a tough time. Kyler will be a year old in a few weeks & he is a healthy and happy baby!
