My only complaint is the noise level at the nurses station in the CICU. You could hear all of the staff's conversations. My nephew recently had surgery and needed to be in a quiet environment. It was agitating to him.
Just had my son admitted there and I will say that every nurse and doctor we encountered was super nice and helpful. That really helped take some of the stress off of being there. Our room was nice and my son really enjoyed all the extra things they have for kids there. I do wish the discharge process was smoother and faster and I think all the employees in the cafeteria seemed miserable. Other than that this was an over all good experience.
I did a 3 because my daughter is a month old hasn't ate in 49 hours since she ate and they are pushing her to the side about her surgery. She does have an iv I understand that but she is so hungry she won't take her pacifier. She was supposed to have her surgery yesterday but emergencies had happened which OK I also understand that but they told me since they didn't do it yesterday that she will be in today at 7 am. Here is it now 12:25 and still nothing.
My experience in the er department was great. The doctors and nurses were amazing with my daughter. Went in for some iv medicine for my daughters migraine, she had a bad reaction to one of the medicine, but the nurses Nick, and Amy Russell along with others were right on top of it until the doctors came. Everyone was so nice and attentive. A special thank you to Amy Russell and Nick!
Best Hospital I have ever been too...My son was recently diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome and we were sent to Children's and I was so relieved when we arrived..The Doctors, Nurses and Staff were amazing...
One of the best experiences I've ever had concerning a hospital stay with hospitality, kindness, professionalism; parent and child avocation with the primary specialty team that was involved with his issue... Much thanks and gratitude to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.
