RecommendedMy wife and I have had several children and grandchildren born at UPMC Children’s the last just yesterday top notch care very professional staff our care team over the past couple of days have been absolutely wonderful!!
They are wonderful ❤ we had our son there and they were very thorough and very caring ❤
Love the hospital and most of the staff! Not a huge fan of the emergency room because they wouldn’t listen to us when we told them something! The staff in the PICU is awesome and makes sure you are included in all the decisions even when your not able to be there. I would recommend children’s to anyone! The only issue I have is the parking is outrageous and starts to add up when your there for extended time or when you have multiple appointments throughout the week. The staff is caring and very through. They will do everything in their power to figure out what is going on and make sure they are treating your child appropriately. They also are wonderful at explaining things to the parents so they understand, child life will help explain things to the children so they understand what is happening with them too. Love "our" hospital. 95% of our experiences have been very positive. The people here really care and the parents can be an amazing support as well. My 11 son has Cystic Fibrosis and has recently came out as transgender. (ftm we call Julianne by the nickname Blaze until he settles on a new name to keep forever) The staff has been extra understanding and have tried hard to change to the preferred pronouns he, him, his...as opposed to a child many have known for years as my sweet girl. very good experience here with my 5 week old son. he stayed a week due to a stomach virus and related dehydration. everyone was extremely compassionate and kept us well-informed on his care and listened carefully to us.
Grandson, Samuel has five open heart surgeries first year and half, he is doing wonderful. Childrens is a blessing to Pittsburgh! Amazing Dr.s, Morel, and many more!!!
This hospital is set up very nicely. Very easy to find where you need to go. The staff was phenomenal! From the intelligent doctors & caring nurses to the friendly security. They not only cared for our son but cared for us too. Super Impressed!
All the nurses were wonderful there along with the doctors! Thank you for the care of my son Bryson and of course he loves the bear from you guys ♥️
